The map shows Cibola, Anian, Quivira and many other mythical places. A fine large example of California as an island, one of only a handful of maps to focus on the island as it main feature. The projection is based on Sanson. From the exceedingly rare “Neu aussgeffertigter kleiner Atlas” by J. Muller published in Franckfurt in 1702 at Johann Philip Andrea. Engraved with great care by G.
