A nice old color example of Blaeu’s regional map of Padova from Grooten Atlas the dutch edition of the Atlas Major published in Amsterdam in 1664. The famous Blaeu’s firm was founded in 1596 by Willem Janzoon Blaeu (1571-1638) then continued by his two sons Cornelius (1616-1648) and Johannis (1596-1673). Pianta topografica di Verona completata ai lati da testo descrittivo in tedesco e legenda con 4 riferimenti ad altrettanti punti di interesse. Tratta dall’opera Curioses Staats und Kriegs Theatrum di Gabriel Bodenehr (firma in basso a destra) pubblicata ad Augsburg nel 1725. Gabriel Bodenher (1664 – 1758) fu valente incisore e famoso editore. Nel 1716 acquistò i rami della produzione cartografica degli Stridbeck e ripubblicò, aggiornando, molti dei loro lavori.
