Manifesto di propaganda bellica pubblicato in Portogallo nel 1943/1944 che descrive la preoccupazione degli Inglesi per il perdurare del secondo conflitto mondiale. Al centro una essenziale mappa dell’Inghilterra con vignette che mostrano le macerie di importanti centri urbani; ai lati, invece, la rappresentazione di bombardamenti tedeschi nella “battaglia dell’Atlantico”. In alto un riquadro con un testo in portoghese cita il giornale “Sidney Sun” del 19 maggio che riportava una nota non pubblica del Times di Londra: ” “Per quanto tempo dovremo assistere a raid aerei quotidiani che distruggono le nostre grandi città? …. Le numerose esperienze hanno dimostrato che le autorità locali non sono più in grado di occuparsi dei bisogni più urgenti.” Sempre il Sydney Sun tre giorni dopo pubblica un telegramma di un corrispondente a Londra: “Qual è, in realtà, la situazione della Marina britannica? È una cosa molto seria! Se la battaglia nell’Atlantico non viene vinta o se le perdite non diminuiscono, la nostra situazione diventa disperata…”

The Beatles Map shows a topographic layout of Liverpool highlighting the places well known (it also has their Yellow Submarine characters & the sub itself in the Mersey!) to Beatles buffs such as Quarrybank High School, their birthplaces & many other Beatle landmarks.
