La mappa di propaganda che descrive la situazione politica in Europa allo scoppio della Prima Guerra Mondiale realizzata a Milano dall’atelier litografico Ricciotti al tempo operante in Porta Romana. In basso due legende indicano graficamente il numero delle forze militari terrestri e navali e ai lati le bandiere nazionali. La carta è completata da inserti circolari con i ritratti dei comandanti militari: Joseph Jacques Césaire Joffre (Francia), l’Ammiraglio Sir John Rushworth Jellicoe (Inghilterra), il Granduca Nikolaj Nikolaevič Romanov e lo Zar Nicola II (Russia), Franz Conrad von Hötzendorf (Austria), il generale Helmuth Johann Ludwig von Moltke e l’Ammiraglio Alfred Peter Friedrich von Tirpitz (Germania). Detailed map of the Mediterranean by Jean Baneton published in Paris at Gaillac Monrocq in 1942. The decorative map in atypical orange color is embellished at bottom by inserts showing the Strait of Gibraltar, Malta, the Strait of Dardanelles, the Bosphorus and the Suez Canal. It shows naval and air routes with the indication of the durations of the trips and in the case of import export of the transported goods.
