This map was designed by Vladimiro Lupi in 1984 (his signature can also be found on the band’s drum kit in St. Louis) shows an infographic that allows us to follow the genesis of Jazz from its initial idea in the late 1800s to the 1960s through the various contaminations, variants and styles according to the zones and schools of the various geographical areas. This is a proof, partially coloured by the author, for a poster of which no definitive draft or serial publication is known. Vladimiro Lupi used the illustration of the trio Lambert, Hendricks & Ross (here positioned near the West Coast in Nevada) for the cover of his book ‘Vocal groups in modern jazz vocalese – history discography – biographies’ published in Ferrara in 1986.

A very decorative lithograph map of the world by Chocolat Menier. The map features 120 images of explorers, plants, animals, and structures from around the world. Three small inserts present maps of the Congo, India and Tibet, and Israel. A red line of travel connects each place name on the map and the seas are coloured by their distance from the equator. Underneath the map is an area to fix 120 ‘tickets’ collected from Menier chocolate products, with three that giving clues to ‘Enigmas’ that had to be solved.

The Beatles Map shows a topographic layout of Liverpool highlighting the places well known (it also has their Yellow Submarine characters & the sub itself in the Mersey!) to Beatles buffs such as Quarrybank High School, their birthplaces & many other Beatle landmarks.
