Importante pianta della città tratta dall’opera “Nouveau Theatre d’Italie….” di Pierre Mortier pubblicata ad Amsterdam nel 1724. Si tratta della prima pianta dopo quella del Rascicotti del 1599 rispondente alla realtà. Sono riconoscibili, infatti, con buona precisione sia il tracciato viario, e con esso le maggiori piazze ed i tratti dei torrenti, sia i principali monumenti, disegnati in piano rialzato per meglio evidenziarli dagli isolati cittadini. In basso legenda su tredici colonne con 38 riferimenti ad altrettanti luoghi di interesse.

Fine map of Crema from the french edition of Atlas major published in Amsterdam in 1667. The famous Blaeu’s firm was founded in 1596 by Willem Janzoon Blaeu (1571-1638) then continued by his two sons Cornelius (1616-1648) and Johannis (1596-1673). Their greatest cartographic achievement was the publication of the magnificent Atlas Major with 600 maps all finely engraved and embellished by elaborate cartouches, heraldic detail and especially by splendid calligraphy.
