An appealing 1800 map or city plan of Turin, issued by John Stockdale. The map is very detailed, noting walls, forts, bridges, gates, roads and a host of additional topographical features. On top panel listing 30 point of interest. At bottom right a nice baroque title cartouche with lovely vignette.
From J. Stockdale’s “A geographical, historical and political description of the empire of Germany, Holland, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Prussia, Italy, Sicily, Corsica, and Sardinia” Published in London, 1800.
