An appealing 1800 city plan of Genua, issued by John Stockdale. The map is very detailed, noting walls, forts, bridges, gates, roads and a host of additional topographical features. On the left panel listing 59 point of interest. In the upper right a nice baroque title cartouche with vessels in the sea.
From J. Stockdale’s “A geographical, historical and political description of the empire of Germany, Holland, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Prussia, Italy, Sicily, Corsica, and Sardinia” Published in London, 1800.
