    An interesting map of Northern Italy by Franz Wagner from the Einleitung in die alte und neuere Geographia, published by Leopold Hodl and printed by Gregory Kurtzbock in Vienna, 1737. The book was published in a single edition and is quite rare. Franz Wagner was a Jesuit priest and director of the Jesuit seminary in Vienna.     A rare copper engraved panorama of Rome taken from the really uncommon “Sachsischer Postillon” a kind of historic-geographic magazine published in Vienna in 1784. At top the portrait of Holy Roman Emperor Frederick III and a key to 82 point of interest numbered on the view. The author is George Hisler (signed in the lower right) who drawn Rome in curious German stile easily visible in the shape of the roofs and bell towers. Central fold as issued. In very good condition.
